Set up a prescription product

A prescription product is a regulated item — a medication or controlled substance. On top of the stocked-good settings it carries compliance fields that govern how it’s dispensed and tracked.

Choose the Prescription product type.

Add a new product and set its type to Prescription product. A compliance section appears below the usual fields.

Set the compliance fields.

Mark whether a prescription is required, choose the regulatory category, flag a controlled substance, and turn on lot and expiry tracking as needed.

A controlled substance must have a valid regulatory category before the product can be activated — mujez blocks activation until the compliance fields are complete.
