View the trial balance

The trial balance lists every account with its total debits and credits for a date range, and confirms the books are balanced.

Open the Trial Balance report.

From the General Ledger, choose Trial Balance. It loads for the year to date by default.

Set the date range.

Choose a from and to date, or use a preset such as This month or Year to date. The report refreshes automatically.

Read the results.

Each row shows an account’s debit and credit totals; the summary row confirms total debits equal total credits.

Reports are built from posted journals only. Drafts and reversed entries are excluded.
