View and edit an account

Open any account to review its details and balance, and update the fields that can be changed.

Open an account from the chart of accounts.

Click any row in the account tree.

Review the account details and balance.

The page shows the code, type, classification, posting and control status, plus the current balance.

Click "Edit account".

You can change the editable fields: name, classification, and whether the account is postable. The code and type are fixed.

Save your changes.

You return to the account detail page with the updated values.
