Accounts Receivable
Bill customers and get paid: customers and groups, quotations and proformas, invoices for products and services, approvals, payments, returns and credit notes, collections, and receivables reporting.
Add a customer
Customers are who you invoice. Create a customer master record once, and it carries its currency, payment terms, credit limit, and addresses into every invoice.
Manage customer groups
Customer groups bundle defaults and a credit-limit policy so every customer in the group is treated consistently. Set the group up once and assign customers to it.
Create a quotation
A quotation is a priced offer you send a customer before any sale is booked. Build it line by line; once accepted you can turn it straight into an invoice.
Accept and convert a quotation
A quotation moves through a lifecycle — sent to the customer, accepted, then converted into an invoice that carries the same lines and totals.
Generate a proforma
A proforma is a non-posting preview document generated from a quotation — useful for advance-payment requests and customs, without affecting your books.
Create a service invoice
Bill a customer for work or services. A service line is just a description, quantity, unit price, and tax — no inventory involved.
Create a product invoice
Bill a customer for goods from your catalogue. A product line links to a stocked item and draws from a warehouse, so quantities and revenue stay accurate.
Issue an invoice
Issuing commits a draft invoice: mujez runs the approval and posting workflow, books the journal (debit receivables, credit revenue and tax), and—where required—prepares the e-invoice.
Set up multi-step invoice approvals
Require invoices to be approved before they are issued. Build an approval chain of one or more steps — each with its own amount threshold and approvers — so larger invoices route to the right people in order.
Record a customer payment
When a customer pays, record a receipt and apply it to their open invoices. mujez books the cash and reduces the receivable automatically.
Create a credit note
A credit note reduces what a customer owes — for a billing correction, a discount, or goodwill. mujez posts it against the receivable and can apply it to an invoice.
Apply a credit note
A credit note with an on-account balance can be applied to an open invoice, reducing what the customer owes. Apply all of it or part of it.
Handle a customer return
When a customer returns goods or cancels billed work, record a return against the original invoice, approve it, and issue a credit note for the returned value.
Recognize deferred revenue
When you invoice for a service delivered over time, the revenue is deferred and released period by period. mujez builds a recognition schedule from the invoice; you post each period as it’s earned.
Review the deferred revenue report
The deferred revenue report shows your remaining unearned balance at a point in time — the opening balance, additions, what was recognized, and the closing balance — and reconciles it to the ledger.
Work the collections list
The collections workbench surfaces every customer with overdue invoices, ranked by what’s most at risk, so you can chase payment systematically — send a reminder, log a promise to pay, or assign an owner.
Track receivables with the aging report
The aging report shows what every customer owes and how overdue it is, grouped into time buckets — your at-a-glance view of collections health.
Invite customer portal users
Give your customer’s staff secure access to their own invoices, statements, and payments through the customer portal. Invite users and assign each a role.
Configure receivables settings
A tour of the Accounts Receivable settings: the accounts invoices post to, payment terms, whether you sell products, and the approval policies that govern invoices and quotations.
